Raku Firing 1986
This was my 1st experience of this firing technique.
The wood was to damp & it took an age to reach glaze maturing temperature, then I met Steve Mattison at the "Dept. of Visual Arts" University College of Wales Aberystwyth, as it was then called, in 1986-7 he introduced me to propane gas firing & the now well known Top Hat Kiln design that I still use to this day.
